Job Title : Senior Scientist Biopharm

About the Position

Drug Product Design (DPD) belongs to the Center of Excellence for pharmaceutical development of orally administered synthetic molecules. The department is responsible for the development of preclinical, clinical, and commercial formulations (cycle 0 to cycle 3), from their manufacturing and transfer to pilot for clinical batches, to industrial transfer and submission of the marketing authorization application.

Join our CMC (Chemistry Manufacturing and Control) formulation laboratory. As a Manager in charge of solid dosage form development, you will ensure the design of formulation studies and process development, from laboratory to industrial scale, across all cycles related to Sanofi's product research and development.

In this context, your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct lab experiments to characterize the solubility and dissolution characteristics of the drug substance and drug product
• Develop and interpret In vitro-In Vivo Correlation, iteratively improve a PBBM (Physiologically Based Biopharmaceutics Modelling)
• Develop and advance concepts of translational biopharmaceutics with a focus on improving predictive capabilities by linking in vitro drug product performance attributes to in vivo performance attributes
• Design in vitro experiments to evaluate drug products using principles of quality by design and understanding of drug product manufacturing processes and assist in combining leading-edge in vitro and in silico capabilities with drug product design
• Work in close collaboration with various groups, including global teams in CMC, to address the biopharmaceutical needs of oral, parenteral, transdermal, and other delivery routes
• Demonstrated abilities to work in cross-disciplinary teams and ability to partner with cross-disciplinary subject matter experts in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacokinetics & Drug Metabolism, and Clinical Pharmacology departments

About You

Skills you must possess:

Experience(s):

• The position requires 2 to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical development acquired in the field biopharmaceutics or/and pharmacokinetics
• Advanced level in modelling software/(Simcyp), good level in in vitro dissolution, analytical methods

Soft skills and know-how:

• You enjoy challenges and like working in a team, with a strong interest in science
• Your organizational skills and attention to detail allow you to ensure reliable and quality results
• You have good interpersonal skills and a developed sense of communication
• You possess strong writing and presentation skills

Education:

• Pharmacist, Engineer with a Master's degree, PhD

Language(s):

• French, written and spoken English
